Four Pillars
The mission and belief statements are built upon four pillars. It is upon these four pillars that we base all that we do at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School and all that we strive to be.
Community
In light of the Catholic teaching that the parent is the primary educator of their children, St. Catherine’s believes that any successful educational endeavor must be reflective of this practice. There must be healthy communication and involvement of the whole community within a school setting: teachers, students, parents, and families. As a parochial school, St. Catherine’s also belongs to the family of the local parish. Therefore, the school also strives to be a living part of the parish family.
Study
As an educational institution, St. Catherine’s is dedicated to developing and providing a program of academic excellence, meeting the needs of the students and helping them develop their highest intellectual capabilities.
Faith
As a Catholic school, St. Catherine’s truly educates the whole child, including a formation in the truths of the Catholic faith. The faculty and staff daily renew their effort to live the fullness of their vocation as Catholic educators so that our students may truly spend their day in the heart of the Church and her mission. We strive to provide an experience of the fullness of the life of the Church through study of her doctrine, participation in her liturgy, and time set aside to meet God in prayer.
Mission
St. Catherine of Siena is quoted as saying, “If you are what you should be, you will set the world ablaze.” At St. Catherine’s, having received a solid formation through life shared in community, academic studies, and growth in faith, we go back out into the world to share what we have received. As Eucharistic people, St. Catherine’s is sent to engage the world and share Christ through witness and service to others.
