Ways to Give to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School

Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is a core component of the fundraising program at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School. Our tuition does not cover the full cost to educate each child. The Annual Fund helps to bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost to educate.  The gifts raised through the Annual Fund support our students directly by enhancing curricular programs and student services.

Parents, grandparents, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents and faculty/staff of the community are all encouraged to participate in the Annual Fund.  Donors are asked to support the Annual Fund to the best of their ability. There is a wide range of gifts, from $10.00 to $5,000. The Annual Fund is the one activity in the year in which each family is strongly encouraged to participate. The success of the Annual Fund depends on the FULL participation of the community. Our goal is to achieve 100% participation from our school community.

Why Do We Give to SCS?

Understanding the Annual Fund

As good stewards of our school community, we believe that the parents and friends of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School deserve to have a clear understanding of the purpose of our school’s main fundraisers, including the Annual Fund.

The Annual Fund is one of the most important fundraising campaigns for St. Catherine Siena Catholic School. It raises monies to support the operational expenses of SCS. Since keeping tuition affordable for families is a priority for our school, the cost of tuition is less than then actual cost to educate. The Annual Fund “closes” this gap between the tuition vs. the cost to educate. Typically, the difference between the cost of tuition and the cost to educate is about $1,700.

The need for an Annual Fund is not unique to SCS. Many schools utilize the Annual Fund for similar purposes. By targeting the operational expenses of SCS, the Annual Fund ensures the quality of instruction and the overall educational experience of our students; it also enables families that otherwise may not be able to send their children to St. Catherine’s to give the gift of a quality Catholic education to their children.
