Oratorical Contest

April 18, 2023
By SCS

“What makes good stewardship? Stewardship can be defined to describe how we take care of or manage someone or something.” This question and definition is the topic for this year's oratorical contest.

The students reflected on the traits of qualities needed to be a good steward and related it to how it is defined in Luke 16:1-13, “The Parable of the Shrewd Manager.” Students researched further and found different Catholic leaders who best exemplify the qualities.

On Tuesday, Middle School students presented to their peers and a panel of judges on what they found makes good stewardship. Winners of the Oratorical Contest are:

  • First Pace: Bella (Grade 8)
  • Second Place: Felicity (Grade 8)
  • Third Place: Evelyn (Grade 7)

We congratulate these wonderful scholars. Our prayers are with Bella as she continues forward and will represent St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School for the Oratorical Finals at the Archdiocese of Atlanta on April 25th.
